The trees

In the 6th grade we have talked about the trees and why they are good for us. Now listen to the story The giving tree and then answer the questions:

What is the boy (man) in the story like? What is the tree like? What does it give to the boy?

You can find the book in the Slovenian language. What is its Slovene title?

When the boy was little he climbs, eats and plays with the tree.

But when the boy grows up he don't want to play, eat apples and climb anymore. He says that he is too busy, too old, too tired ...
The boy wants money, house, boat and place to relax.

But the tree loves him. It gives him apples, branches, trunk and place to sit and relax. Boy don’t say thanks, he just takes it away.
Only thing left was just a stump.

Boy comes back and sits on the stump. The tree and the boy are happy. Boy knows that he was selfish. They are friends again.
