Each year on the 26th of September we celebrate the European Day of Languages. We celebrate this day because of linguistic diversity in Europe and it also promotes language learning. I speak two foreign languages, English and Spanish, but my favourite language is English because it is very popular and its popularity also influences its importance.
An interesting fact is that one language dies about every 14 days.

Yesterday we celebrated the European Day of Languages. There are many nationalities and different language groups in Europe. This day is important that we are aware off how important is that we know how to speak foreign languages to connect people culturally and economically. For us, Slovene, is the most important, because we are so small. There are only 2 million people that speak Slovene. It is also very important to take care of our language, that it won't die to soon.
I learn English and I'd like to learn more foreign languages, because it is very important to me to connect with other people.
An interesting fact is that at least half of the world's population are bilingual or plurilingual, i.e. they speak two or more languages.

I speak two forgein languages,English and Spanish. I like all the languages I speak a lot so I can't decide which one is my favourite. English is fun to speak and I love it, Slovenian is very intresting and it's fun to see people from forgein countruies confused when you speak it and Spanish is fun to learn.
The fun fact is that languages are related to each other like the members of a family. Most European languages belong to the large Indo-European family.
