Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a festivial celebrated in November.
But when exactly is celebrated and where?
What is it about? (Maybe the picture will help you remember.)
What are some of the traditional dishes that people eat for that occasion?

Thanksgiving is a traditional North American holiday, Canada.It is celebrated every year on the fourth Thursday of November. They ate some special meal.

I agree with Eva, but the meal they ate was roast turkey I think.

I think it's got something to do with the original people of America- Indians and the white people. On Wikipedia it says that the point of it is to express Thanks for one's spiritual and material possessions. It also has alot to do with wars between the natives and the white people.

Because many of the pilgrims died during their first winter in North America.

They were thankful that they had a good crop of food to eat during the winter. They thanked God and the Wampanoags for teaching them how to grow crops.
